A student of University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has been paralyzed after he hit his head on a concrete wall in a swimming pool.
This report came from St Joseph’s hospital when they released a letter addressing the incidence and also soliciting for funds to support the medical treatment of the Uew student.
Kabula Boateng, a 25 year old student was admitted at the Winneba trauma hospital after hitting his head on the concrete wall and was later moved to Korle But Teaching hospital for emergency treatment.
His condition slightly improved but worsened as time went on as he could not stand and walk with weakness in his limbs and was immediately admitted at the St. Joseph’s hospital at Nkwanta.
He was again referred to the 37 military hospital to see a neurologist and was admitted at the 37 military hospital for a spinal surgery but his relatives could not afford the cost and was discharged home.
The hospital has thereby pleaded with the entire student populace to support Kabula Boateng as his situation gets worse.
