At around 2:30pm on Thursday, September 9, 2021, the National President of Concerned University Students of Ghana, Mr. Paul Ayuonga with some members of the Association of the UEW Branch submitted a petition to the Students Representative Council (SRC), UEW.
In the petition, contained a number of worrisome concerns expressed by students about the delay of their examination results. After the submission of the petition to the General Secretary of SRC, UEW, Miss Cynthia Momo, Mr. Ayuonga addressed some students at the SRC Pavilion at North Campus. “I am in level 300 now, preparing to go out for my internship but after I saw my level 100 first and second semesters results, I have never seen any result again. In fact it is sad.” He said.
Some of the students also spoke about the happening. Eric Delwin Asaana, a level 300 student said “As it stands, I don’t even know my GPA . I don’t always know what to say whenever my brother asks for my results. He thinks I’m lying to him.”
Mr. Ayuonga concluded by encouraging management to publish their examination results on the traditional notice boards. “We hope that we get a better outcome from Management through the SRC. In our level 100 time, they pasted our results on our traditional notice boards and I don’t think there was any problem with that .”
