The Nigerian musician admitted that when he was younger, he had no idea that his father was a billionaire or that what he did was his career. Wizkid, Burna Boy, and he were the three biggest artists in Nigeria until Rema, Asake, and the rest came on the scene.
Davido revealed in an interview that he wasn’t aware of his family’s fortune until he was 13 years old.
Davido states that it was difficult for him to comprehend people’s genuine value in society because his father had a very ordinary and modest life.
The multi-billionaire businessman, according to him, only had one driver and drove a brand-new silver Honda Accord.
Davido remarked that because his mother only had a Toyota or Honda truck, he had no notion about their financial position.
He said his parents continued to live a basic life till they left their house and moved into a new one.
When he first saw the new building that served as their new home, he began to wonder about his father’s occupation and learned that he was a businessman.
