Becky Quick biography
With the assistance of her father, a geologist, Quick’s family tracked oil production “booms” as she was raised in Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Oklahoma.
The family finally settled in Medford, New Jersey, as their residence. While holding the position of The Daily Targum’s editor-in-chief in 1993, Quick graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in Political Science.
While still an undergraduate, she was awarded the Times Mirror Fellowship by Rutgers’ Journalism Resources Center.
Prior to joining CNBC, she covered retail and e-commerce business news for The Wall Street Journal and played a key role in the establishment of the publication’s online in April 1996.
As the foreign news editor for the website, she oversaw the coverage of world affairs. She served as a co-moderator for the Republican presidential discussion on October 28, 2015.
