VGMA Is My Ex-Girlfr!ênd, I Will Come Back If They Want Me – Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale, a crooner of dancehall music from Ghana, has spoken out about his connection with the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He claims that his relationship with the well-known Ghanaian music awards program is comparable to a man’s relationship with his ex-lover.

Shatta has not been a part of the event since he declared he had boycotted the award scheme after organizers of the well-known ceremony imposed a 2-year ban on the “1 Don” hitmaker following the brawl that broke out between himself and Stonebwoy in 2019 and was later removed.

In contrast to Shatta, Stonebwoy has been nominated for the following iterations of the award program, and to top it off, after expressing interest in the program, he even earned the award for the best Raggae Dancehall Song of the Year Award at the 23rd VGMA’s.

He made it clear that he will only agree to participate in the prestigious award ceremony again if they reach an agreement because he feels there should be a nice approach in line with how he is treated by the show’s organizers when explaining further why he has still not been a part of the award scheme.
